"Twitter Mediator" is an imagined tool that could be implemented within the Twitter platform to visually inform users about the political leanings of the content they are engaging with. This project exists in accompaniment with Matthew's Degree Thesis, which is on the cause and effect of political polarization across social media platforms, specifically in relation to how digital platforms' user interface designs encourage political separateness.

In order to create a tool that would be used by individuals, real-life experiences and opinions from social media users were collected to be used as research for the basis of this project. Applying the outcomes of the thesis about user interface and political division, the stories gathered from real people helped lead the process for this project.
Conducted interviews with a number of social media users, focusing on engagement with platforms and their influence.

Because this imagined tool would exist within the Twitter design space, it was imperative to utilize existing elements of the Twitter design model, while also ensuring readability, novelty, and interest. The tool needs to be unbiased itself and easily accessible to the average Twitter user.
